About Me

Thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Janelle Wise, and I live in Springfield, Missouri, with my husband and three children.  I created a professional and reliable business, and I enjoy cultivating close working relationships with my reporters.  I work as a strong cohesive team to create accurate and readable transcripts.

I’m very proud to say that I’ve graduated from Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice.  My rigorous training is based on the National Court Reporters Association guidelines, Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters, and the wonderful resources provided by Margie Wakeman Wells.  I’ve worked as a transcript proofreader for three-plus years with court reporters from all over the country, and I’ve seen a variety of transcript styles and preferences.

After proofreading for clients and being engaged in the industry, I was intrigued to find out more.  Learning to scope was the natural next step to transcript production, and I am excited to start a new chapter in my life as a trained CaseCATalyst scopist.  I’m a recent graduate from Internet Scoping School under the tutelage of Linda Evenson.  While I still proofread for clients in PDF and CaseCATalyst, I am now also actively seeking reporters with a need for a reliable, friendly, hard-working scopist.  I love meeting new people, and I look forward to getting to know you.
